Student & Grade Calculators
GPA, grades and test scores — the full student toolkit on the standard 4.0 scale.
About these student & grade calculators
Every calculator in this category runs on the standard United States 4.0 grading scale, and the scale itself is printed on each page so you can check it against your own school's table before you trust a number. Letter grades convert to grade points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, C = 2.0, D = 1.0, F = 0.0, with plus and minus steps of 0.3), and a GPA is always a credit-weighted average: multiply each course's grade points by its credit hours, add everything up, and divide by the total credits attempted.
The tools split into three jobs. The GPA calculators (semester, cumulative, weighted and high school) work out where you stand now. The solvers — the Final Grade Calculator and the Target GPA Calculator — run the same maths backwards to tell you exactly what score you need, and they say so plainly when a target is mathematically out of reach instead of printing a meaningless number. The converters (GPA to percentage, letter grade, CGPA to percentage) translate between the scales different schools and countries report in.
Two habits make these numbers trustworthy. First, enter credits exactly as your transcript lists them — weighting by credits is the whole point, and a 4-credit course moves your GPA twice as much as a 2-credit one. Second, remember that schools differ: some cap A+ at 4.0, some award 4.3, and weighted scales vary. These calculators use the most common standard scale and show you the table they used, so any difference with your official transcript is easy to trace.
Frequently asked questions
Which grading scale do these calculators use?
The standard US 4.0 scale: A = 4.0, A− = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, down to F = 0.0, with the common percentage bands (A = 93–100, B = 83–86 and so on). The full table is printed on every student tool page. If your school uses a different scale, compare the tables before relying on the result.
Why does my calculated GPA differ slightly from my transcript?
Usually one of three reasons: your school weights A+ differently (4.3 instead of 4.0), it rounds at a different step, or it excludes certain courses (pass/fail, repeated courses) from the GPA. These calculators count every graded course you enter, weighted by credits, and round only the final result.
Do these tools store my grades?
No. Every calculator on Kwikfig runs entirely in your browser. Your courses, grades and scores are never sent to a server, stored, or tracked — close the tab and they are gone.
